National Day of Miscarriage and Infant Loss

I never dreamed I'd become part of "the group", but God had different plans. I'd love to say my heart is no longer broken and that I have no more tears to shed; but that simply isn't true. I'm human. I do have "bad" days and I sill shed LOTS of tears, but through all those days and tears I know God has a perfect plan for me. He loves me and continues to pick me up.....HE is the lifter of my head!
My heart and prayers go out to all the women who have lost babies or who are in the middle of a crisis with their baby. I had so many people tell me, "I could never go through what you went through". My response, "I use to say the exact thing to others". The only reason I'm able to lift up my head and have joy is not because of anything I've done, it's all because of Jesus! God's grace is ALWAYS sufficient, and HIS arms are ALWAYS open to give it. Our job is to make sure our arms are open to receive what HE so graciously offers.

Thank you Jesus that I have been able to experience your sufficient grace!

Remembering......and thinking about what might have been.

We miss you Travis as we remember you on this day, the day we were suppose to hold you in our arms!

 "Sometimes it's the smallest things that take up the most room in our hearts"

HELD
Two months is too little
They let him go
They had no sudden healing
To think that providence
Would take a child from his mother
While she prays, is appalling
Who told us we'd be rescued
What has changed and
Why should we be saved from nightmares
We're asking why this happens to us
Who have died to live, it's unfair

[Chorus]
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held

This hand is bitterness
We want to taste it and
Let the hatred numb our sorrows
The wise hand opens slowly
To lilies of the valley and tomorrow

[Chorus]
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held
[Bridge]
If hope is born of suffering
If this is only the beginning
Can we not wait, for one hour
Watching for our savior
[Chorus]
This is what it means to be held
How it feels, when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive
This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held
We'd be held

This is what it is to be loved and to know
That the promise was when everything fell
We'd be held

This is what it means to be held.....

Jesus, Draw Me Ever Nearer

So we do not lose heart....for this momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison.  2 Corinthians 4:16-17

Jesus, draw me ever nearer

As I labor through this storm

You have called me to this passage

And I'll follow, though I'm worn.

May this journey bring a blessing

May I rise on wings of faith;

And at the end of my heart's testing,

With Your likeness let me wake.

Jesus guide me through the tempest

Keep my spirit staid and sure;

When the midnight meets the morning,

Let me love You even more.

Let the treasures of the trial

Form within me as I go -

And at the end of this long passage.

Let me leave them at Your throne.

His faithfulness

When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee;

and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:

when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be

burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

Isaiah 43:2

Thank you , Lord for walking through refining

fires beside me. I am thankful that when my burdens

seem too heavy, You reassure me. Your presence

and Your word promise me that I am not suffering all

alone. Your might shadows my weakness and fear, and

You take all my anxiety away when I lay it down

at your feet.

I love hymns! I have been singing this one today.

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Thank you Jesus for your faithfulness and peace that endureth!
